The volleyball equipment that I am requesting for my students will help them obtain the proper level of athletic skills while providing the added benefit of social and team-building skills. Volleyball is a stress reliever, team builder and a safe refuge for our team during the day and helps them cope with the issues they must deal with outside of school in their day-to-day life. Currently, the volleyball team has very little equipment to train for this season. The team has a few volleyballs to practice with that are in poor condition. There is one game ball that cannot be used for practice due to the requirements of the athletic association. Fulfilling this project would allow the girls to practice passing, setting, hitting, and experiencing how a game ball will feel by practicing with similar equipment. The team's injuries will be prevented by the knee pads, which they currently do not have. Additionally, it will allow the coach to provide more effective and efficient training with proper equipment like the cart, volleyballs, and the reaction ball.
