This year is my first year as a school Speech Language Pathologist. I have sat in class and passed all the tests to earn my degrees but in my classroom, my students teach me something new everyday. They teach me to have fun! My students have speech and language impairments and require additional support to grasp concepts that typically developing children may pick up on their own. My students learn their way. It is my job to assess every student and to figure out what strategies work best for them. Everyday when my students walk in the door, they ask me "What are we playing today?" This is because I am turning therapy into their version of fun! The materials in my wishlist will help me take classroom concepts and turn them into play. For kids, this is what life is all about.

About my class
