This connections class will be used to increase interest in the performing arts. Students will work on developing characters and telling whole stories in a short amount of time. These monologues and one acts will be performed for other classes, other schools and after school event with families. The improve activities will be used to spark creativity and spontaneity. The headphones and speakers will allow us to watch and listen to different performances and add music to our own versions of each work of art. Students will develop their personality and expression through improve, monologues and scene work. Each resource requested will allow us to dig deep in building a room where students feel safe and challenged to express new personas.
