My classroom is a place where our youngest learners come to explore and learn at school for the very first time. It is important that I provide a fun, happy, and supportive environment for these young learners in order for them to begin to associate school with a positivity. They will be learning to play appropriately with these materials, sit for teacher-directed activities, as well as cognitive skills such as sorting. The children in my classroom will receive direct instruction as well as with learn through play which will encourage communication, improve cognitive development, and encourage relationship building. The items I have selected for this project will help foster learning through play.
