I am the media specialist in a Title I urban, Florida school with 520 students. Over 97% are on free or reduced lunch. They are eager learners and enjoy the limited technology that is available in the media center. Most of our students don't even have the basic school supplies, let alone computer and technology equipment. Currently the media center has no resources to allow students to print class assignments, current events articles, and reports. The school is also in the process of creating a Media Club to do closed-circuit TV productions and morning announcements.
