Being a first-year teacher, I am working to build my library to be something both my students and I can be proud of. This includes a classroom library that has engaging and enriching material for my students to read at their reading level. At such a young age, it is important to encourage a love of reading and learning through books. Students can learn so much, both academically and morally, through various texts and I would love for my students to have the opportunity to be exposed to a plethora of titles that interest them. Students need to have a variety of texts to read independently or with their classmates to practice their literacy skills and the ability to comprehend text.

About my class
