All students learn differently and enter my classroom at varied levels. As an educator my job is to identify each student's academic level and tailor lessons to their individual needs. These books will give students a wide range of leveled readers for small group ELA instruction with a variety of subjects to use throughout the school year. Due to budget cuts and funding to public education our school has limited ELA resources (in particular books) available for varied reading instruction. With these new books, I will be able to choose sets of books that align with units of study and sustain small group ELA instruction for an entire school year. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue help my students grow as emerging readers.
