Learning happens in an environment where people form relationships with one another, with ideas, materials and the environment. How might a teacher organize early in the school year to set in motion a classroom culture that supports this value? Being an organized student helps students also manage their time more wisely. In our chair pouches, we will keep our Wilson's Fundations materials, tool boxes, and folders. This will keep the traffic flow within our classroom to a minimum. All that my students will have to do is turn around and "Surprise" their materials are right there. My students will also learn how to be responsible for the upkeep and care for their own classroom tools. I hope to teach them one of my favorite classroom quotes, “A place for everything and everything in its place.”
