Through the donations that our quiz bowlers receive, they will be able to experience invitationals and competitions that will prepare them not only for future competitions, but also prepare them for any future educational opportunities they may have. Quiz bowl doesn't just teach students how to memorize different subject criteria, it teaches students how to manage their study and learning habits. Those are things that many students lack when they exit their high school life and begin their college careers. It prepares them for adulthood. In the past, our school district has been able to help with the funding for our quiz bowl trips; however, due to shortage in school funds, our quiz bowl trips will no longer be funded by the district. In order to maintain the level of our teams past accomplishments, we are seeking outside help in funding our invitationals and camps. As a sponsor, I feel it is of great importance for my students to be able to experience these competitions and camps in order to open their minds and broaden their scope of knowledge so that they can be successful and giving adults. Thank you so much for your consideration.
