The students in my classroom all come from a high poverty area where the necessities are in short supply. The charter school in which they attend can only give a limited amount of supplies for each classroom. I cannot ask families for supplies, when they cannot supply other basic needs for their families. Despite the challenges, these students show up each and every day ready to learn and apply their knowledge into their lives. They willing share what little they have with one another in order to correctly complete the task. They are an energetic bunch of children who want nothing more than the chance to explore, learn and grow in each and every way.

About my class
