My students love floor hockey; it's one of the best units we play in terms of participation and energy-level. Due to lack of exposure, according to the students, the baseline for basic skills of floor hockey is much lower than of other sports, and because students are using a hockey stick, injuries have been occurring more frequently. I am looking to obtain hockey helmets and wrist guards to not only reduce injuries but to further simulate the game of hockey; a game my students are really learning to love! I would like to give them the opportunity to play floor hockey without the stress of potentially being injured.

About my class
