It's expensive to operate an art class serving more than 40 people with supplies of a quality they deserve for more than 9 months, especially when every students' individual journey and needs will be slightly different! In the standards set forth by the AP Art and Design curriculum, students are expected to complete 5 pieces that reflect exploration with materials and ideas, and anywhere from 5 to 10 works related to a point of inquiry or theme. With 10-15 artworks per student (at a minimum) and 40 students enrolled in the class, we will need materials to create more than 600 works of art this year! Every cent you contribute ensures that all 40 students' material needs for the course are met so that they can focus on creating amazing works of art rather than worrying about funding their vision.
