This table will allow my students to work more effectively in a teacher guided small group. With a combination class, small group instruction is vital for student success. These students are on so many different cognitive levels and each group has to be differentiated to show growth. With this new table, my students will have a comfortable, safe place to work with the teacher and other students on their level. My students will be able to work without distractions and focus on what's most important--them! Small group instruction is so important because I am able to focus on the students individually and meet them at each level. Each child-below level, on level, or above level-will benefit from this form of seating. This table will enhance growth and allow each child in my classroom to feel successful, no matter his/her level.
