Assessments are a standard part of the school environment. In an effort to maximize the validity and reliability of our testing we need proper equipment. Headphones are key equipment for students when working on student based learning projects. Having the ability to cancel out noise and distractions will enable increased focus and learning task-engagement. Many of our students are diagnosed with attention deficit and autism. Headphones are needed to level the playing field for these students. School is often the safe place when they have successes and grow through directed instruction. These opportunities will lead students to higher vocabulary and comprehension levels that effect their future success. Vocabulary is a focused strategy for our school this year. Telling our story so the world will know we matter.
