My students will use the Lakeshore dough and accessories to make everyday things they see around them. It will give them a chance to experience their world through different sensory pathways: motor, sense of touch, etc. They will make their houses, families, food, pets and many more things that they will then talk about to their teachers and family members. Play is the fundamental way in which children learn. Play is essential for improving cognition, sense of self, sense of belonging, knowledge of things around them, etc. The items selected will brings not only great fun and joy to the children, but more importantly, the children will learn the foundational skills needed to progress to all stages of learning.
