Reading to students is a very important part of my reading lesson. When children sit on a rug, it gives them a sense of community, a sense of belonging, and that is what I would like for them to have in my classroom. When children feel like they belong, they will be able to cope with what this world has in store for them. A bright and cheerful area rug will give my students the opportunity to feel like they belong. It will also keep them from sitting on a cold tile floor. It will give them the feeling of reading at home in a warm and comfortable environment.

About my class
