My students are fantastic!!! They are always enthusiastic about drumming and willing to learn new ideas. I have a very diverse group of students both socially and culturally, and that is to be expected in California. My students range from grades K-5 and my typical school week consist of teaching hand drumming and percussion in an Orff methodized curriculum for my students grades k-2 and teaching my students grades 3-5 by method of oral traditions, as drums have been taught for centuries. In a typical week, I teach upwards of 184 students.
