About my class

My plans are to help my students develop a global perspective in math and take advantage of modern learning solutions by instructing with the use of chromebooks. The students will be challenged and encouraged to think critically about the world around them by calculating surface area and distance, planning a vacation and calculating the cost of gas, food, lodging, etc., and looking for geometric shapes by using street-view imagery to assist them in the applications of the lessons. My job as a teacher is to engage and support every student, but it is particularly difficult when you have class with such a wide range of math proficiency.” Instructing students at their own pace with the Chromebooks and several online learning tools would allow each student the exact individual skill that they need to make a big impact towards mastery.
