The toddler ride-on vehicles will assist in providing a safe play environment during physical education while enhancing learning, preventing bullying and school injuries as well as promoting positive social interactions thus enhancing social skill development. The physical activity (PA) which will ensue is known to help mitigate depression and anxiety in children. During toddler ride-on station time in physical education, kiddos will be offered semi-structured play opportunities to self-select desired vehicle, test relationships, learn social appropriateness, and learn to generally "play nice.” Research shows physical activity is linked to increase learning, helps with concentration, and the ability to focus. While negotiating through toddler ride-on vehicle choice, children will gain skills in conflict resolution by playing with their peers, learning to share, taking turns, being a leader, as well as collaborating and negotiating. As author Guy Bailey points out, it is a "necessity for using learning activities that are fun and meaningful. Students learn when they are inspired and motivated by teachers who make learning fun." He goes on to state, "the gymnasium should be a place where learning becomes play and play becomes learning.”
