I am currently one of five third-grade teachers, and because I am self-contained, one of my main responsibilities is to teach all subject areas using technology, especially now as we are officially a STEAM school. Also, I am expected to expose my students to the most current research-based reading strategies, in order to improve my students' reading skills and learning gains. The overall reading skills of my students will be built and enhanced by the use of the requested Chromebook as they are moving in a tech-savvy direction. Our school is now a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) designated school; therefore, exposing my students to new technological advances using Chromebooks will also put them at a great advantage.
