I am blessed to be able to teach a first grade class. The majority of the students in my class are from low income families. My students overcome hardships at home and come to school ready to learn. They are very motivated and are becoming very excited about reading. One of my wise students summed up the enthusiasm by saying "bring it on books, bring it on". This has become our theme for the year. These children do not get a lot of help at home; therefore, it is essential that they come to a class well equipped for learning.

About my class
