The building we are currently in is about 18 years old with the original carpet. The carpet is stained and, even though shampooed for the school year, it remains in bad shape. By adding a new carpet, my classroom will be a more inviting place for students to gather around each morning for morning meeting and each afternoon for social skills and story time. The carpet in our classroom is a covered space where I always see so much personal and social/emotional growth take place. With a new carpet for my students to enjoy each day for reading, writing, math, and social skills, I can already sense the eager and excitement this will bring.
