I work in a high needs Title 1 school in Nevada. My class is known as the inclusion class which means my students have a variety of special needs. With the limited and shrinking budget in Nevada the assistance I used to received is becoming less frequent. Therefore the responsibility for differentiating has fallen completely on me. My kids cannot sit at their desks and do worksheets. They need lessons that include dance, song, movement, and visuals. I have been altering my lessons to directly target the multiple intelligences in my class to more efficiently and effectively teach the core curriculum. Unfortunately the songs, plays, skits, and other activities now only live in our memories. These materials will allow us to create, edit, save, and distribute our activities. I can then reflect on the lessons to alter them for future classes or to better teach them this year.
