Sensory bins are fun and engaging tools to use in an early childhood classroom. There are many benefits to having a sensory bin. These include improving fine motor skills, enhancing cognitive skills, developing socially and emotionally, hands-on learning, and calming strategies. Sensory bins are a great way to differentiate instruction for all students. Every student learns a different way, and sensory bins give children experiences that a worksheet would not give. Sensory play is critical for a child's physical and emotional development. While children may think they are playing at the sensory bin, they are learning with their peers on how to communicate and working together. In my sensory bins, I will also have educational items for the students to use. This will include alphabet letters, numbers, words, and so much more! I would love your support in my vision for my classroom!
