As a reading interventionist, my goal is to help my readers gain the skills needed to be strong, fluent readers. However, my other main goal is to help them develop a love of reading. I want them to find books that they are able to get lost in, learn from, laugh with, and are able to bring things to their hearts. Since this is my first year working with kindergartners and first graders, I would love to grow my classroom library for them. This project would allow me to grow my library for my second graders as well. I would love my classroom to be a place where my students can come and find books that they are excited to read. I look forward to practicing the skills we are working on in books of their choice. I can't wait to have conversations with them about what they have learned and to laugh along with them.
