A calculator is a very important tool for certain math lessons. Students need this tool when working with square roots. They will be using these skills when working on many different things but especially when working with right triangles. We use the square root button often when trying to find a missing length. Students also need this tool when working with larger exponents. Learning how to correctly use a calculator is just as important as learning how to type. I would love to teach my students how to use all the tools on a calculator to help them be successful in the future. I want my students to have the confidence in navigating a calculator.
