Children in today's classrooms need the ability to move around and get comfortable while learning. It is a struggle to expect young learners between the ages of 6 and 7 to stay seated at a table or a desk for extended periods of time. I always like to provide my students with choices on where (and how) they would like to sit. By having flexible seating options, such as cushions, lap desks and rocker chairs, my students have the ability to learn how to make appropriate choices, but also to get comfy! We would also appreciate having a classroom set of headphones, so students do not have to take turns when using technology.
