The materials I have selected will allow me to service my students better by providing me with kid-friendly language to help my students navigate difficult issues they are facing such as fluency: stuttering and emotional regulation. Allowing me to grow my knowledge base will intern allow me to grow my capacity to present material in various modalities to my students. Some of the material, I have selected will support my students' social thinking which is an area of difficulty for many of my students with autism, language learning difficulties, co-occurring impairments, and ADHD. Social thinking at times blocks learning. Thus, teaching students how to regulate their feelings and thinking; while pairing that with speech and language servicing will intern allow them to learn better. Thank you for joining the journey to improve my students' confidence as they are not defined by their impairment, improving their social/emotional regulation so that they may have an easier time building connections with others, and helping prosper successful learners.
