The variety of text materials I am requesting will foster a love of reading that students started building in kindergarten. The primary years are crucial for building a solid literacy foundation that will allow students to be successful readers, writers and thinkers as they continue through school. Students need to see characters that look like them, in the books they read. This variety of text materials will provide us with fun and thoughtful read aloud stories and books for students to enjoy independently as they build fluency and comprehension. I am excited to offer this opportunity to my students with your help and support!

About my class
