This is my second year with my students. I first met them as kindergarteners and have "looped" with them to first grade. (Next, year, I will be with a new class of kindergarteners). I have seen my students transition into first graders beautifully. They love to read (often sitting on the floor) and show off what they have learned. They also love to tell stories and share experiences. Which is why a comfortable meeting area, where we share and learn so much, is so important. These students work well together while cooking and they enjoy going to the park to sketch and study natural habitats.
