Many students at my high school cannot afford to buy the proper clothes to attend school dances. If they do not meet the dress requirements, they are not allowed into these events. During the past few years, I have collected over 300 dresses and many suits to pass on to these students at no cost to them. I sponsor a Free Dress & Suit Shop three times per year to allow students to pick out a semi-formal or formal dress or a suit so they can experience a high school dance with their friends. The sturdy garment racks will allow me to set up a true shopping experience for these students. Since I do not have any type of budget for this project, I have fully funded it on my own. The garment racks that I am currently using are bending and breaking because they cannot hold the weight of the clothing.
