This sensory experience will provide my students with a more engaging environment that addresses their specific sensory needs. By addressing their need for more kinesthetic learning activities with the wiggle wall they will be more engaged in the curriculum and have higher levels of participation. Many of my students have physical limitations and sensory needs that impact their ability to participate in traditional classroom activities. Filtering the glare of overhead lights helps to decrease distractions for students with sensory issues. In providing sensory fidget items, therapy putty, and flexible seating we are able to work on students fine motor skills and balance.
