Choice reading has been proven to aid students in all school subjects, not just Language Arts. With this extended classroom library, students will have many more options when they move into their daily independent reading time. Students have a specific time to visit the library once a week but are able to visit on their own on any day. Choice books that are high-interest and grade-appropriate are necessary for creating self-sufficient readers. Extensive classroom libraries ensure all students' choices and needs can be met when choosing a book. Classic stories provide timeless themes that students will be able to relate to their own lives, guaranteeing the creation of lifelong readers.
