My students have limited access to technology in their homes. This means they rely on the classroom to fulfill all of their tech needs. At our school, classrooms come with as few as two working computers. Twenty-six students are expected to share these computers for the entire year. With so few devices students do not get equal or adequate exposure to the tech. Students lose out on rich opportunities to grapple with technology because we can't afford more. It is crucial that my students have access to technology so they can conduct research projects, sharpen their math, reading and writing skills with researched-based applications and to ultimately more independent by taking their own learning in their hands. Help me close the gaping and provide opportunity by giving my students more technology!
