My goal as a teacher is to create a classroom environment that is inviting and an engaging place for students to grow and learn. For students to succeed in my classroom, they need to believe that they can learn. They need to feel that what they are learning is important, relevant, and useful to them. In order to create this environment for my students, I need to provide the proper tools to help my students succeed. Learning centers add novelty, choice, individuality, and accountability on the part of the student. I am asking for a variety of centers and teaching supplies that will provide my students with the best learning experience. Hands-on activities such as the Power Pen Quiz cards, Touch & Read set, and Tower of Sight-words will allow my students to learn while also having fun with these activities. The best learning occurs when students take an active rather than a passive role in the learning process. With your help, these centers will allow my students to become active learners!
