My students attended Kindergarten virtually this past year so this will be their first year of in person instruction. Hands on learning is so important for young students as it increases retention and understanding. By providing hands on learning with manipulatives children will improve their understanding of number sense by learning at their own pace and learning levels. These math manipulatives will help them to gain a better concrete understanding of number sense. Students will be able to explore with how to manipulate numbers during independent, small group and whole class learning time.
