I am asking for informational text for my listening center. This year, one of our goals at our school is to increase the number of non-fiction books we read in first grade! This project will not only increase the number of non fiction books being read by our students, but it will increase their vocabulary and their knowledge of the "real world" around them. A lot of times, non-fiction books are harder to read than fiction books so this will give them the opportunity to listen and learn books that some of them may not be able to read. I am excited to be able to give my students this opportunity!
