My students enjoy working with tangible items. These LEGO resources will give them opportunities to work cooperatively and collaboratively while developing social skills and learning to problem solve. Best of all they will be having fun. The students will use the LEGO pieces to design functional communities and be able to explain the rational for their designs. The students will have opportunities to assess the results of their work and determine if they need to make adjustments. They will also learn to articulate why changes are necessary as well as modify their design to achieve different outcome. The goal is to encourage them to learn from each other and practice problem solving skills.
