The materials in my project were selected to assist my students with sensory processing and motor concerns, to independently participate in their school day without feeling anxious or uncomfortable. Weighted and compression materials have been found to have a calming effect on a child's nervous system, to allow for greater emotional and sensory regulation throughout the day. Children of all abilities deserve to participate in everyday activities calmly and with comfort. These tools will allow for self regulation and participation in learning tasks. When students feels calm and comfortable, they can accomplish amazing achievements. Thank you for considering helping my little friends play and learn in a supported and understanding environment.
