Our circle and carpet time is a fundamental part of the day and is truly the heart of the classroom. We gather on the carpet each morning to have our Morning Meeting during which time students great each other, engage in activities, and gather for story telling. We read stories out loud every day as a key strategy for early literacy development. As the focal point of the room, the carpet serves as the meeting place for our community. Children love the cozy environment that it creates and each child will have his or her own square designated for them.

About my class
