Math is an integral part of learning for children in their early years. The use of math manipulatives is very critical and will be used during my instruction to build a deeper understanding of number sense. Math literature will be used to ensure the students are making real world connections. The math games will be used to assist in building a solid math foundation. My students need to be able to manipulate concrete objects so they will be able to understand abstract concepts . With the materials, I'm hoping to continue to build numeracy and problem solving skills for my students so they will have a positive learning experience in math and take ownership of their own learning!
