Our students with unique and different abilities are often underemployed and often are not given the opportunities to have a job. We are creating a life skills program to teach our amazing special needs students specific work skills that will incorporate the social skills and behavior management strategies to allow them the opportunity to be employed. We will focus on skills such as stocking store shelves, sorting items, scanning/bagging items, and customer/employee social skills. Incorporating these activities together will allow students to learn to be both a customer and an employee. The focus is to teach our students to become successful members of their community.

About my class
