Many of the students in my classroom come from severely low income households and often do not have access to quality reading materials. I feel that by providing a wide variety of subject materials and interesting titles, I can use these books as positive tools to help foster students' educational interest and encourage their appreciation of having the availability of these resources. Readers will be able to build their vocabularies and, thus, become better readers and writers. I welcome the help in promoting a print-rich environment for my students. By helping to create excited, independent readers, we create happy, educated people!

About my class
