My classroom is being on boarded to begin Personalized Learning. This program is a new way of teaching that promotes flexible seating to create more collaboration and freedom to create areas of space that can be designed to fit the needs of multiple, unique projects. My students come from very trauma ridden lives, and several are transient or homeless. To be able to provide a welcoming, soft, matching and useful environment is the first step to help them feel some calm and safety in their lives. With this need met, we can move on to the learning necessary for them to become successful.
