I teach a great group of students at a Title 1 school. Most of my students come from lower income families. I have all types of learners in my classroom each with their own special gifts and needs. For many of my students, my classroom is a second home to them and we strive to make it comfortable and inviting so that they have the best learning environment that they can get. Flexible seating options will help engage my students and ensure that their attention is focused in the right direction. Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. Many of my students have learning needs that require them to move and be allowed alternate accommodations. Allowing my students the flexibility of exercise balls, wobble cushions, wobble stools, etc will help them to feel comfortable and confident in their classroom. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!
