I am transitioning to a new grade level (from middle school to elementary), and I know how important quality and diverse texts are for students! Often in special education classrooms texts are over-simplified and do not value the strong strategies and meaning that students bring with them in their reading. The text sets I am requesting will support students to engage in seeing themselves and others in diverse texts and building inquiry through their nonfiction reading in high-quality books. A diverse, and high-quality classroom library will support students to read texts that match their interests and build a life-long love of learning! Thank you for contributing to our literacy community!

About my class
