Some of my students are English language learners and others have characteristics of dyslexia. Both of these types of students would benefit from the use of a text reader to read text they come in contact with in a classroom. C-Pens will give my students with characteristics of dyslexia the ability to perform academically on the same level as their peers that do not have this challenge. C-Pens would make accessing course content easier for my English language learners also. Teachers are responsible for providing all students the opportunity to learn. These specialized readers would be beneficial to student success because they will give students easier access to course content. A little over 38% of my students have some type of modification or health issue. C-Pens would make providing my students the best learning opportunity available while giving them more independence.
