These materials would make a difference in my students learning by providing them with the opportunity to read books that are on their reading level. Most years, my students come into second grade struggling to read at a first grade level. This can be not only difficult for them to over come but it can also become a barrier that hinders them from trying to push through and gain momentum in order for their learning journey to be successful. By providing my students with this library of books, I am giving them a chance to not only learn how to be a successful reader, but I’m giving them the chance to LOVE reading. By becoming a successful reader in the primary grades, my little scholars will most certainly have a much better opportunity to be come successful students as they progress through the rest of their school years and in life after school.
