Research shows that technology in the classroom raises achievement. With laptops in the classroom, my students will be better able to meet the needs of increasingly rigorous academic standards and global demands by: Accessing educational sites for cross-curricular research; Having individualized, self-directed learning experiences using academic programs. Reviewing or extending skill practice using academic programs; Studying topics of personal interest (and finding new interests); Watching educational clips and practicing computer and word processing skills. I believe strongly in using technology in the classroom for educational purposes! Technology opens up a whole new world of learning possibilities for students. Technology allows for virtual field trips, video resources, digital images, and visual literacy. Through such technology, students can learn about or visit unique places from their own laptops.
