Seeking quality literature for my classroom library that celebrates diversity and allows students the opportunity to engage in books that relate to them while also giving them the opportunity to explore cultures worldwide through picture books, poetry, and biographies. It is important to give students the opportunity to see themselves reflected in literature. The is an area that my classroom library could use support in. These books will allow students the opportunity to have books to take home and read in order to practice literacy skills at home. Students will check out books and return them to class when the are done. We will also use these books as a class in order to explore different cultures around the world.

About my class
